bummer,its a great tablet,thanks
do you know about using android apps on the playbook?
Yes, there is some very good news on the BlackBerry news front regarding the Playbook being able to use Android apps on the QNX PlayBook OS.
Once RIM releases the OS2.0 update, which is expected sometime around next month (February 2012), BBOS will keep our members informed, so keep a sharp eye out, and your Wi-Fi signals available:)
do you know if it will have to be rooted, there is an update out now but im not sure if its the right one?
From what I hear around the Forums, your BlackBerry Playbook would have to be rooted.
There is no other way to install the Android App on the BlackBerry Playbook.
Here is a very good thread, How To Get Android Apps on your PlayBook Using BBHTool , courtesy of AgentBlackBerry.
In addition, I would like to let every member of BBOS know that any attempt to Root the BlackBerry PlayBook incorrectly, may result in unforeseen stability issues, up to and including a bricked PlayBook, or any other issue when it comes to downloading, and installing leaked un-official OS releases.
I would like to make it clear that any action you take on your BlackBerry PlayBook, BBOS is not responsible for any damages you may cause to your PlayBook.
thanks i understand that bricking is possible
grimreaper you on again, would you advise me to wait until feb.?
