Thread: Browser issues? Try this.

If your like me, and sometime have issues with your browser either being slow or not loading pages completely. You can try this little tip.

1. Go to your wifi connection on your PlayBook
2. Delete your current saved network
3. Re-add your network.

This seems to put everything back to normal. I hope that a software update will help with this issue. For the meantime this little work around seems to help.

i guess it won't help in long-run. One can have feel a bit relief for a while but it's the best option. How about updating the OS? don't you think it will help?

Unlike our Blackberry phones where the os updates seldom do anything noticeable. Updating the PlayBook is crucial as each new OS update does provide significant improvements. This just a work around for the moment.

Sort of like a network hiccup and resetting the wifi helps, good idea.

What about the browser's frequent crashing?
Any help for that?

You mean when it just disappears?

... all over when it crashes/closes/"disappears" ... it reopens on a tab other than where you were when it disappears with no warning. Thot it may have to do w/too many tabs open at once/overload.

HOWEVER, then noted it may do this even when only 4-5 tabs open.

AND ... I am forever going to "options" and clearing cache/etc, to avoid RAM overload.

Any fixes, or just have to wait for OS update fix ???

Used to the Firefox browser on PC (which crashed, so I got this). Can another browser be used on here other than what is already here???
