Thread: Dingleberry 3.0 Released Adds Hulu And Downgrading

The popular PlayBook rooting application Dinglberry has been updated to version 3.0. This is update is packed full of goodies from the team lead by Dingleberry creator Chris Wade AKA @cmwdotme. Dingleberry has come a long way since its arrival last year, and has opened the doors up for many creative minds. Thanks to Dinglberry we can now do things like have access to the Full Android Market, and USB storage devices to our PlayBooks. Dingleberry 3.0 now allows for downgrading as well as the much anticipated ability to view hulu. The following is the full list of changes:

• Displays a notification on Playbook once the exploit has been delivered successfully.
  
• Prevents ‘erroring out’, sudden black screen and doubt over whether exploit succeeded.
  
• Removed backup and restore requirement.
  
• Removed reboot requirement after Dingle.
  
• Removed File Sharing, Wifi Sharing and Password Protect settings requirement.
  
• Removes ‘host’ requirement on SSH. You can SSH from any IP.
  
• Removes playbook firewall on startup (eg. localbar, pbconnect).
  
• New scp/ssh code to allow jailbreak to work faster, bug-free with less dependencies.
  
• Fixed known_hosts openssh issue in Dingle SSH.
  
• UI fixes and overhaul (size, shape, clicks).
  
• Root works *every* time without hammering Playbook.
  
• Huluberry browser added. Allows viewing Hulu.
  
• Downgrade feature added. Allows downgrading to rootable firmware.
  
• Fixed bug which required developer mode to be on for BDM, restore or downgrade

Have you upgraded to v3 yet?

Yep love it Hulu is a little rocky yet but they are working on those issues. Seems to be an issue with full screen support.

Can you just re-root an already rooted PB?

Does Dingleberry 3.0 work with the lastest Beta OS2?

I want to run Andriod apps and have Bluetooth A2DP and root can I do this with the new Dingleberry 3.02 release are the instructions for OS2 Beta 6XXX?

This is so tempting, even though RIM is releasing the official update next month (no exact date released), it's going to be an exciting time for many BlackBerry PlayBook owners.
