Hi. I have ported the VICE emulator to the BlackBerry Playbook and have a working Commodore 64 Emulator. I want to share the BAR file but I'm not sure how to get it into the downloads section. App World won't distribute it due to a policy on emulators but I figure I can just distribute it for side-loading since most who care would know how to do that anyway. Its signed and ready to go but I'm not sure how to get it into downloads. Thanks.
The quickest way, outside of Joe or one of the other staff members doing it for you, is to upload to a cloud service, such as Dropbox, and then post the link. Your link will be simple text until you get up enough posts to make a direct link, but it will work.
Until we get it in the Downloads tab, here's the link to the C64 emulator: Http://accentual.com/pub/c64.bar
I've uploaded it into the PB Apps & Games section.

Fantastic app! Can I just ask a question is there anyway to save the game state rather than having to start a game over each time you run the emulator? Thanks
No, not yet. There are features in VICE that are not exposed yet but can be added. I really hacked together an interface with bare minimum functionality using low level gles apis. I'm going to redo the interface after (if) bb 10 comes to the playbook.
