    Paying for an Android app?

I loaded the latest Wordfeud version for my wife. This new version is either ad based or paid for. The default is ad based. The OH wants to pay so as not to be distracted by the ads. However, when she clicks 'buy' from within the app she is taken to BB Appworld which, of course, doesn't carry Wordfeud. Looking on Wordfeud's website there seems to be no way to buy a licence directly. Is there any way to do this for the PB?

Whenever you sideload an Android app to the PlayBook that has not been fully ported to BlackBerry App World, by default it will redirect to Google Play store, because that is were its native update source is. The difference is when you install an Android app from BlackBerry App World its update repositories are adjusted so that it will update properly. In short, in your particular case Wordfeud will not be able to upgrade.

What you can do is purchase the paid full version and then look for the full ad free version online. You will not find any full versions here.

I looked at the Wordfeud website but the only way I can see is to purchase through Google Play Store, iTunes or Windows phone store. No option to just purchase a licence there as far as I can see. I did email the developer but no reply yet.

Right and that is by design. Like I mentioned before you will need to purchase the app and the find a full version of the app some place.

I haven't had a version of Android in a little while, but it used to be pretty simple.
