Windows Mail

I for the life of me can not figure out how to get my Mail to link with my ethernet! :Eyecrazy: It's not a big deal to me, but my wife doesn't like to copy/paste adresses to her yahoo account! If yall could figure it out, it would also save me a 20 min phone call that insues when she wants to buy something on line!

I had it working while tethered to my phone but won't work any other way! The connections are set to never dial up, yet it still tries to dial up. I have removed everything from vzw, thinking maybe that had something to do with it and I got 00! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!:amish:

ethernet cable running to a reciever mounted to the roof of my house! Recieves signal from antenna on top of a mountain... No dial up no codes and always hooked to the net. Computer wants to dial up to something that is not there, and recognizes that it is already hooked to the net! I am totally baffled:bigeyes:

I guess I'm just confused as to exactly what it is you are trying to do. You have a weird set up.

:laugh2: I know , huh? When I click on an email address and it automatically opens Windows Mail, I want to be able to use that! Instead I have to copy/paste into another account! Your turn!:Eyecrazy:

Ahh okay. I didn't understand you were talking about Windows Mail... Is this other account that you have to copy/paste to also in windows mail? Or what program is it using?

I've never used to Win Mail, but I would guess there has to be some sort of connections setting area that you can configure...

The connections are set to never dial up, yet it still tries when you try to send! It won't choose the direction of the Ethernet and it knows it's already connected to the net! There is no setting for the Ethernet, and the selections it does give me, either need a # or an address...

If I had a computer with Mail on it I could take a look around for ya but I don't. I just use Gmail.

The windows mail is hooked mine and my wifes, different yahoo Pop accounts. When you create an email with windows mail, your basically working off line. When you hit send it should automatically connect and send through that yahoo account. You can set up a windows mail account (we have enough accounts as is) and achieve the same results. Also when you recieve a knew email it will automatically be on your desktop, so you don't have to open the net and go to the email account and go through all that!

You need to setup your yahoo pop email account in winmail. Give me a sec and I will find you a link to the instructions. You just need to get the pop and smtp setting correctly setup.

Jason are you paying for the pop email access from yahoo? Its not included in the free mail account.

Thank You sir, I believe I have it! Even got my bbos account setup! It was my internet connection I had the info your talkin about. It worked at one time, It stopped workin when I switched to the Ethernet! All I needed to do was Delete all accounts and reregister them! It recognizes the connection now!:1244::1244::1244::1244::1244::1244::1244:

P.s. You get your DO-NATE? I still don't have that process perfect:laugh2:

Windows Mail, the default email client included with Windows Vista, depends on the integrity of its message database--also called the message store--to function properly. If your computer is shut down unexpectedly while the message store is in use, you may find that Windows Mail exhibits strange behavior or does not run properly because the Windows Mail database is corrupt. Clean up the Windows Mail message store using built-in features or a third-party utility to resolve this issue.
