Firefox update releases v9.0.1 Windows ENG Final
We all have our own favorite browser to surf the internet, time after time, end-users have more choices than ever to surf the internet, in addition, the abundance of add-ons, themes, extensions, and plug-ins is overwhelming at times.

Mozilla's Firefox has come out with version 9.0.1 and released a ton of improvements, as of December 21, 2011.
- Added Type Inference, significantly improving JavaScript performance
- Improved theme integration for Mac OS X Lion
- Added two finger swipe navigation for Mac OS X Lion
- Added support for querying Do Not Track status via JavaScript
- Added support for font-stretch
- Improved support for text-overflow
- Improved standards support for HTML5, MathML, and CSS
- Fixed several stability issues
- Fixed several security issues
Users can always manually check for updates from the About Firefox window to see whether they are up to date.

Please note that installing a new version of Firefox will overwrite your existing installation of Firefox.
You won’t lose any of your bookmarks or browsing history, but some of your extensions and other add-ons might not work until updates for them are made available.

I use both Firefox is extremely slow compared to Chrome.

I have used both browsers myself, Google's own Chrome is a very nice browser and definately could be the fastest, but afterall users should look for more than just speed.
Overall funtionality is my #1 rule.
I don't know why FF is extremely slow for you ice?
Have you tried to re-install FF?
Clean out the browser's cache?

Firefox has always been slower than Chrome. However, I have not tried version 9 apparently its much faster.

I have updated to 9.0.1, and faster would be an understatement...much faster.

OK, I tried the new FireFox and I still have to go back to my chrome. I've become used to the speed of chrome that I have not come across any browser that comes close to it's speed.

I'm glad you tried the new Firefox, not everyone is going try it and actually keep on using it, some will try it and migrate over to Firefox permanently.
I am aware of Chrome's browser speed, definitely the fastest browser out of all browser's, but we all need to remember the core reasons to use such browser.
If you are happy, that is all that matters :)
