So with the news of Verizon getting 5.0.0.288 for testing, it may only be a matter of time until somebody leaks it
(Feel free to discuss any upcoming leaks/OS builds. I've heard of anything between .287 and .346 in existence currently. Which one will leak? When will it leak? Nobody knows, but I know that we all want one of them to leak!)

I can not imagine what else they can do to the fabulous 230 build. I hope that memory usage is improved. It will be interesting if they release this build any time in the near future.

May sound funny but apparently I read in a book that battery life is improved, SFI is also improved, and transitions are smoother. I am still on Chapter 1 though

You know what you should do is post up that book you're readingA little reading in our lives is always good!
The .230 sfi is near perfect in my book. I only have a select few problems with the full .230 build for the 9530
- flick scrolling glitches in Contacts menu (others report it happening in Messages)
- certain scrollable screens "restart" from the top upon scrolling, even though I left off in the middle of the screen (open up SocialScope, Browser, threaded SMS, etc., hit 'Back' out to the homescreen, then open them from Application Switcher. You'll see what I mean if you try to scroll after doing that)
- Memory leak (but no significant drop in performance!). Leaks slower as it nears 0MB. Haven't restarted since 6 days ago, and I'm only now down to 12MB.
- Music player carried over the glitch from .191 where fast-forwarding to the next track while outputting sound through the headphone port causes the sound to mute.
Those four problems aside, the .230 sfi is perfect. Transitions are smooth and have been really refined since 4.7.0.152, and UI speed is quick.
Enlighten us, if you will, as to what .288 supposedly bringsplease!

About time this room opened up.... I was twirling around in nothingness! I was thinking that "we heard" that 4.7.0.220 was the latest 4 version and we're on a higher version of 5 and now there is one that is tremendously higher. Even if we don't notice a whole lot, this build probably has so much done under the hood that we can't help but be that much closer to the phone that we wanted when we bought the storm a year ago!

I saw a few tweets earlier by jlevy referencing that 5.0.0.340 .sfi is highly unstable and barely even holds 3G:
He also indicates that a more stable leak may be on the wayand I quote: "the new build has huge SFI issues, the radio barely registered 3G". It killed 3 of my 9530's today?
I wonder what this more stable leak is. 5.0.0.288? Or another build? This just got a little more interestingYeah, but it's a horrible OS. But it is true we may see something more stable leak soon (for the 9530 only)

I'm not so sure, the tweets seem to imply that .340 is the unstable build. I would hope that .340 was the stable build though

So would .288 be the stable build you're referring to? I would naturally assume so because that's the build that VZW has in testing now. Or is it something entirely different?

the biggest issue with the .230 sfi had was being able to maintain a signal out side of the 3G area.. when i was in the 1X areas that I live in my signal would change to 3G and then i could not get data until i turned radio off and back on and then it would only last about 20 min.You know what you should do is post up that book you're reading

At this point there is no ETA, but I am sure that it will be released hopefully before the end of October IMO.

LOL!! it is wishful thinking, but we have had a storm of leaks in the past month I would not be suprised.
