I kinda feel bad for the 9500 owners lol. We're getting leaks like crazy, and their latest is in the early .2xx

I'm hoping that RIM and the carriers do a global simultaneous rollout of OS 5. They've already determined the 9700s "gold" OS build, so maybe once they get the other devices to go "gold", then they'll have the carriers push them out simultaneously?

I don't imagine the official rollout is very far off now. New devices are coming in the next two weeks, and both will be loaded with OS 5.

Add .328 to the waiting room now. Looks like we get it this Sunday at 7:00 PM PST.

Yeah, I have heard that too. I have heard conflicting information from good sources, but I am going with the later date, so I would say Monday.

I think I have an issue with my BBOSalert and was wondering if someone could leak .328 just so I could check and see if I'm getting the alerts

so I'm totally up for any incoming 5.0 leaks for the 9530

5.0.0.328 is really nice, I must admit. A minor improvement over 5.0.0.323, but a huge improvement over any of the 4.7s. But my main gripe is memory leakage (the only non-huge-memory-leaking OS was 4.7.0.151, I suspect some kind of app issues) and occasional typing lag (switching from ABC to 123!@ and back is usually instant, but as the days go by, it'll take nearly 2 secs to switch back and forth. Then a few hours later, it "fixes" itself and is instant again).

Those are really my only two gripes about the software now. 5.0.0.328 is not bad in my book at all, but I'm always looking forward to further optimizations

Bumping this the 9520 just got .341 leaked. So of course I got a little needy after seeing that and am now waiting for a new leak.

.328 is nice, aside from my memory leak. Can it get better, though? Someone leak me something good and prove it to me

I have been running Lyricidals 5.0.0.328 - 351 hybrid for well seems like forever, but at lease a couple of weeks or more, no memory leak, great reception, battery lasts. BBHybrids Forums - Downloads - 95x0 - 328/351 Hybrid give it a try.

Even though it works great I am also ready for a new leak.

I might give that a shot, I recently heard about it (was it a bbhybrids VIP for a few weeks?).

So the wait begins for .4xx for the 9530. The 9500 guys just got 5.0.0.402, I wonder how long it'll take for the 9530 version to roll around, what with all the VZW devices getting no love as of late

Here we are and still no updates, the 9500 just went to 5.0.0.425, seems like every 9000 series phone has been updated except for the STORM1, patiently waiting, checking frequently, so maybe it is not so patiently. I am ready for something new currently running a hybrid 5.0.0.328/415, but I would love to be running a hybrid built on a 4xx base rather than 328. I am sure others feel the same and so we shall wait patiently for a new official or unofficial whatever.

    Thanks

5.0.0.328 is a great build for the 9530, and compared to the wait from 4.7 to 5.0, we haven't been waiting around long at all. The only problem is that every other current device is getting a leak, EXCEPT the 9530, 9550, and the 9630 (it got 5.0.0.303, but I heard it wasn't all that great). The 9700 seems to be getting leaks every other day, and the Curve and Bold are getting leaks nearly as often.

The wait for new 9530/9550/9630 leaks wouldn't be so painful if we got them at even just a quarter of the rate the other devices have been getting.

Someone enlighten me - what does VZW have to gain from keeping the leaks plugged? Are they experiencing a significant enough number of bricked device returns due to leaks? Do the leaks steal the thunder from those trying to upgrade to a Storm2? I thought the Droid was VZW's flagship device now, you think they'd ease their deathgrip on the Storm/Storm2/Tour leaks and shift their efforts to the Droid.

Surely there are probably people calling VZW CS even after the .328 update because .328 isn't perfect. Which makes me wonder if they have any higher 5.0 builds in the pipeline for the 9530. The faster they can get RIM's latest optimizations to the consumers, the less they'll have to deal with complaints.

Maybe Santa will drop us something good for Christmas?

That 9550 leak is making me even more antsy. How did a leak come out for just ONE VZW device?

Bell Mobility has finally released the 5.0.0.419 OS. Been running it nowe for a week with no issues at all. memory leaks have disappeared, battery life is much improved, and the overall performance has been enhanced from no dimming to a faster browser (IMO).
