Have any Telus users figured out to get Google Maps to work on their Storms??

I've been waiting patiently for an update from Google to see if Maps will work on my Storm on the Telus network. All other GPS enabled apps work except this one!! BAH!!!

Try getting a GPS lock with BBMaps, then leave it running in the background. Open Google Maps, and let it find you. The GPS should work.

Tried that one and it was a no go...

Try switching to GMS, give it a few, see if you can get a lock.

I get a lock when I do that, but then I lose the data capability for the map itself. And I wouldn't recieve any calls. Any other thoughts?

About a week ago. Should work on .140 as well.

Not to long ago Telus had been blocking access to the GPS port in an attempt push subscriptions to Telus Navigator, if that has changed it will be good news to the Telus subscribers. Just resend your service books and reboot, should do the trick..and delete Telus navigator..

I figured out what was wrong. Many moons ago I did the GPS fix that someone posted a long time ago where you put in the IP address for Telus. Well I went through the engineering screens and removed that IP address and now it works great! If anyone else has the same problem, let me know and I'll try and help you with it.

google maps works with telus and 5.0.0.230 on the 9530.
