Thread: Official OS 6.0.0.666 For Curve 9300, Bold 9700, 9780, And Torch 9800 from SmartTone Vodafone

Official OS 6.0.0.666 has been released for the Curve 9300, Bold 9700, 9780, and Torch 9800 from SmartTone Vodafone. If you have any one of these devices plug in that device, and start updating. Do not forget to let us know of your findings or any fixes you notice in the forums.

Remember:The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Wiped my 9780 and installing it right now I hope it's as good as 6.0.0.650.

Running smoothly so far .. One issue I'm facing which I was also facing it in .650 which is when I reboot my Bold 9780,the wallpaper changes itself to the default wallpaper of theme

strange , i have 650 to and i dont have that problem !!! anyway guys im w8 for more info about this update cuz 650 works just great atm ... i wish i wish someday i mean close future to use os 7 on my device

Unfortunately OS 7 wont be available on the 9700 if that is the device you are referring to.

well soon 9900 or torch 2 i dono yet what to buy !!

I'm considering getting the 9850 instead of my 9930. I like having the full touchscreen.

Well I have to say so far im liking this OS smoothest yet for me.

I can't decide which is better .666 or .650 ? But all I can say is that they are best OS for my 9780 so far except that wallpaper issue said in my previous post.

I am really liking this OS release normally I find that things either get worse when I update or simply remain the same. I feel like this release has given me a little more stability, and my battery life has improved as well.

​The wallpaper issue fixed itself ! I'm happy now with this OS

About 4 days after installing it on my 9780,I feel it's snappy OS, has good battery life as for a heavy user like me.But I feel it takes forever to reboot ! It takes about 4 minutes or 3.5 minutes ! Maybe because I've about 20 applications installed?

I have more than 20, but it takes a minute and half to reboot on this OS. I've made a wipe before.
On previous 650 it took 2-3 minutes. -_-
On average it takes 2 minutes or so.

On average it takes 2 minutes or so.

I've wiped my device before I install this OS...I feel that on earlier OS(s) after installing all my applications.

Rebooting time is improved ! From 4 minutes to 2 min. and 50 seconds,isn't that great?
