Thread: Official OS 6.0.0.666 For Curve 9300, Bold 9700, 9780, And Torch 9800 from SmartTone Vodafone

I can't wait till tonight to see if it will be the same on my 9800.

I am having problems getting updated to .666. It is saying "one or more of the modules are missing" can anyone help?

so the 668 is better than the 666?

I thought it was a little faster/smoother. Now there is v.706 from New Zealand. Now that OS is way faster/smoother. Better signal. I now get 3G at m home when the best I could get was EDGE. Check here.

I have the v706 OS on my 9800 and I can tell you that it is by far the best upgrade yet. It is much faster when accessing anything on your phone and I now get 3G in my home when I only had EDGE for like ever.

You can read about the v706 OS upgrade that we did for the 9800 here. If you decide to upgrade to v706, make sure you read post #5 of the 9800 upgrade. For some reason, some people were having issues with a second vendor file that was hidden, but I was able to find it.

Anyway, what ever OS you decide to upgrade to, you won't be sorry as they are all good. Just post any questions you may have and we'll get you set up.
