BlackBerry Traffic App - See What's Ahead Before You Get There
Did you know that BlackBerry has a traffic application ready and waiting for you? Well, now you do! It's called, get this, BlackBerry Traffic. One of the biggest irritations drivers face is that of unexpected traffic jams. They're no fun, we don't blame you. Thanks to a new application, your BlackBerry can become your crystal ball. No, it can't magically move traffic out of your way, but it can give you a heads up about traffic jams or other slow-downs before you embark on your drive. In fact, the application can even give you an alternate route so you may just be able to avoid the traffic all together.
As you can see in the pictures, the application allows you to see how many miles you have left to travel and how long it should take you:
The app will also let you know your ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) and unlike Google Maps, for instance, allows you to send your ETA via SMS text, PIN, BBM, E-mail, etc., to your contacts to let them know when you'll be there. Pretty nifty!
