BlackBerry OS 6 Hybrids Hit the Streets

UPDATE: "Although it may sound like this is a base Blackberry 6 OS and give you a new layout, I did not mean it to sounds so. After further review of the info from Dcom, I found that only 20 OS6 files are in these hybrids. That being said, WillBoy6 wishes to increase that number to about 80 files in the near future. So keep your eyes open for more updates on the Dcom OS6 Hybrids..."

I personally thought that OS 6 Hybrids were more then a few weeks away, but here they are. Our friends at Driphter.com have released the first Hybrids with 6.0 OS software within. You can head over to Driphter and get your hands on the latest Hybrid for your device.

I can tell you this, the 20 cod files form BB OS 6 are worthless --- I pulled all of the cods out myself --- I even installed them on my Storm 2 knowing that they are worthless to install --- They did nothing at all -- in fact a lot of the cods listed below are cod files that are mostly dependent on other cod files, especially the browser file. I would stay away from this strickly because the 6.0 files do nothing --- I have built successful Hybrids (Tanks Hybrid ACT 1, 2 and 3) and i can tell you from experience that you shouldnt waste your time with this 6.0 hype. Not trying to be negative over here, just trying to same people time :-)

Here are the 6.0 cods ....

No, the 6.0 files that are used in the Hybrids are kinda simple at the moment.

Right now the OS6 Hybrids are like 90-10 OS5-OS6
As time passes and more versions launch that will be more link 50-50

Unfortunately by the time goes on, higher OS 6 builds are not longer compatible with OS 5, the files used on this hybrids are from .31 when the development is in 8x's now depending on the devices.... and finally no reason to use an hybrid the 9700 and 9550 are getting the love, and if all goes good maybe 9630 will too

Don't put any high hopes on the OS6 part, as mentioned before the 20 files are trivial.
However, this is definitely the best OS build ever for the Bold 9000 (except if you use VVM).
So 9000 users out there I highly recommend this one.

HA --- Dont we all wish --- youd think RIM could toss us all a bone with the WEB KIT browser, even if we have to wait for FLASH to come out with the new OS 6 --- We pay a lot of monee for BB DATA Plans and we are all getting ripped off at this point since we have the WORST web browsing experience on any smartphone int he world. I sound bitter, cause I am -- I mean they make a big deal out of tabbed browsing which Opera Mini has had for how long? RIM is making a big deal out of the newly designed Media Player in OS 6 -- I mean who cares! Just give me a real web browsing experience, dont cover up your blunders with a shiny Media player --- ha

Extracted from the ugly clamshell blackberry not to mention, those OS 6 .cods are most likely infants --- in short, those 6.0 cods are worthless to us ---

I agree. We just want that new browser. I can care less about the other stuff. Sure a new media player would be nice but, we need the browser.
