The 6.0 is more than likely set for the new 512mb devices and the 5.2 for the 256mb devices... The information I've seen shows that the 512 OSs won't fit on tbe previous devices. Kind of like the partial 5.0s being put on the curves and pearls... Kevin at crackberry joked that those devices have received 5.0 light! They don't have all the bells and whistles that the newer devices received. Long story short... My assumption is that 5.2 will be 6.0 light for the 256mb devices.

I totally agree Jasonfyc. OpenGL and Flash would be a nice improvment but the hardware reasources would most deffinitly have to step it up to comply. Let's just hope that Android and RIM get together and make a baby on Valentine's Day. We should see the results by November.

    Just my .02 :cool2:

Those would be sweet. And IMO if Android and RIM get together and make a baby-- I hope it doesn't have that nasty slide out keyboard. :aargh4:

Do you know, or have you hard if this will be "global"? Meaning will this be on all devices or just a select few?
Should be interesting, the 5 series os's were far better than the 4s but I'm wondering what is in store, since the older devices may or may not have the processing power for larger os's.
    Any thoughts?

I'm also wondering if they're working on a way to use the memory from the media card for processing instead of just using the onboard memory. like loading applications to the media card instead of device memory, that would be pretty sweet.

BlackBerry has to be careful, they don't want to alienate them from their business users. But they will need a competetive product (OS) for the non-business everyday user.

I use my BlackBerry primairly for business related purposes, but like to have some fun features as well. But I do not see myself going the iPhone / Droid route.
