Thread: Which generation of iPod touch is better?

Which generation is better than the other? What is the best place to get one at? I don't care to get one thats refurb'd either. I have a nano 4g 16gb. Its only for tunes and audio books. The itouch will be for that and entertainment. For example, I'm on a deployment with the guard and nada to do. so i play around with the itouch if i dont have any bars on my curve, lol.

I know of macmall.com and thats about the best one i know of.

I thought since a new nano with vid and cam is coming out that the itouch's may come down in price.

Any suggestions?

You have come to the right place. Right now the iPod Touch is $199 which is a great deal as it brings you all the features of the iPhone minus the phone. Personally I would get it from either the Apple Store or at apple online. You can always check out ebay and see what the prices are like there.

i just got the most recent version and love it. I do not use it for wi-fi, but for music only. The wi-fi package is an extra sum of money, but I think you will truly enjoy this version. You have voice recognition, music, movies, app store, google maps...etc...a very well put together product.

wifi package? I bought my son one two xmas' ago. and its the 2g 8gb. I didn't pay extra for any wifi package. With the latest one do you have to pay for wifi?

I bought the 2G about 2 months ago...Wifi works fine out of the box...free
I Jailbroke it and put latest 3.0 software on it...works great, sooooo many apps available

How big? And do you know what is the difference between the "newest" one thats like 4g or 5g and the one you have?

I was looking at a 32gb one, whats the disk size of yours? I'm just lookin around cause i wanna get one for xmas.
