Thread: Asurion insurance

has anyone used this? i have on several occasions and continue to be amazed by their service. i got a call from my son last night telling me that over the weekend he lost his storm:irked:. after i got off the phone with him i logged in to asurions web site and filed a claim. i entered the claim at about 6:30 to 7:00 last night. at 9:16 this morning a storm was delivered to my doorstep.:bigeyes:

i noticed that it came from nashville which is about 3hrs or so away but still.....

i have personally never had to use them but you are making me think very highly of them

Wow nice to know that they have great service! Not many places do anymore

I have always had great service through Asurion.

They ship something like 20,000 phones a day, pretty nuts.

Doesn't all of T-Mobile use asurion for their smartphone insurance? I've never had a problem, but then again, I've never needed it.

i have used them and have loved the speed of the service. First insurance i have ever paid for that i feel is actually worth the money

I have used them more than a few times. I dont like the fact that they ship you a refurbished phone first....but they have always made me happy and replaced it if not happy.

Aplus service Im not happy that the price for insurance and replacement went up.

THey are a great company, and yes the ship you a refurb but think about all they have to absorb... 1- damaged phones, if repairable are fixed at their cost
2- they buy returned phones from carriers and refurb them at their cost
3- they pay the shipping for you both ways (at least with vzw)
4- they have just lowered the rates on most phones to 4.49 a month with 39 deductible of 39, and higher end phones is now 6 amonth with a 90, but either way you do the math you are saving a great bit over a full price

I know Sprint & Verizon use them. Sprint updated the OS on my Palm 700w & that phone model no longer worked in my area. Asurion tried giving me a Motorola Q & I said nope, that's a downgrade and fought for a Mogul and they sent me a new one. Since it was due to Sprints software upgrade I didn't have to pay a dime. I did have to fight to get the Mogul but all in all they're worth the money when these things are $500+.
