    My Twitter Apps

So I thought I would make a list of the Twitter Apps I use and love!

    TweetDeck

    Seesmic

One of the best things about Seesmic is it for your Computer and also Web!

    Release 0.4.1 date: 07/22/2009

    • Launch of Seesmic Web - See Loic's video about this release.
    • Added Single Column and Multi-Column Mode so you can navigate any way you want.
    • Enabling and Setting Fixed Width for Columns
    • Collapsing and Expanding the Sidebar
    • Updated API usage controls
    • Added Options for Timeline Limits
    • Improved Optimizations for Performance
    • Continued UI modifications, enhancements and fixes. Full changelog.

    Twhirl

    Some of twhirl’s features:

    • runs on both Windows (2000/XP/Vista) and Mac OSX
    • connects to multiple Twitter, laconi.ca, Friendfeed and Seesmic accounts
    • displays notifications for new messages
    • shorten long URLs (using digg.com, bit.ly, snurl, twurl or is.gd)
    • cross-post your updates to Jaiku and many other sites like Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and more via Ping.fm
    • post images to TwitPic
    • search tweets using Twitter Search and TweetScan, and follow topics in near-real time with saved searches
    • automatically find tweets mentioning your @username
    • record a video on Seesmic, and share it on twitter immediately
    • get your seesmic updates in real-time using XMPP
    • English spell checking

There are a lot more things twhirl can do to improve your experience, and it offers various configuration options to adapt to your personal needs.

    Blu

    Unlimited tweets
With blu you can view unlimited tweets. Just keep scrolling and more tweets will be loaded and displayed automatically.
    New tweets and inline replies
Click the update icon from the bottom menu and a new text entry field will appear.
Tweets can only be a fixed number of characters per message. blu displays how many characters you have left using large numbers behind your tweet so you know when you're about to run out of space.
And replying to a tweet couldn't be easier: just click the reply icon and the tweet you're replying to will flip, revealing a entry field. Direct messages and re-tweets work the same way.
    See the full conversation
Here's another great feature in blu. You get a tweet, but it's a reply to something you said earlier and you can't quite remember what it was you said.
Usually, there isn't a good way to see the first part of your conversation, but with blu, simply click on the arrow before the username and voila! Your tweet will flip in-place revealing the first part of your conversation.
    Tiny url integration
That's right. We've added tiny url support. Simply type or paste a link into the update bubble and blu will convert it for you. No extra buttons, no extra box.
Want to expand your link? Just click the 'plus' icon and blu will roll-back to the full url.
    Choose your favorites
We know you follow a lot of people, but perhaps you follow some individuals a little more enthusiastically than others. blu hears you!
Once you've defined your favorite tweeters with 'Faves', you'll be notified whenever your favorite people tweet.

    HootSuite

Ok so HootSuite is webbed based and is not an App yet for the computer, but it is by far one of the best webbed based apps.

HootSuite has so many features that I am just going to post the link to their Features site HootSuite Features

    Digsby

I am a person that likes to have all my IM stuff in one that's where Digsby comes in hand you can have all your IM client hooked up to it, you can also have GMail, Yahoo, AOL +, for Social Networks Facebook, MySpace, LinkIn.

    Instant Messaging

    • One combined buddy list for all your AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber, and Facebook Chat Accounts.
    • Manage multiple conversations with tabbed conversation windows. You can drag tabs out into their own windows for important conversations.
    • Rename contacts with an alias so you don't have to remember buddy names like 'giantsfan123'.
    • If one of your friends has more than one IM account you can combine them into a single merged contact to eliminate duplicate buddies.
    • Send your friends SMS messages right from the IM window.
    • The InfoBox lets you check everyone's status message and profile just by moving your mouse down the list.
    • Changing your status has never been easier. just one click right on the buddy list!
    • Multitask while you chat. Minimize the IM window and you see popups of new IM's. Best of all, you can reply right from the popup and get back to what you were doing.
    • Log conversation history and find the information you need our search-enabled log viewer.
    • And so much more.

    Email

    • Manage your Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL/AIM Mail, IMAP, and POP accounts right from digsby.
    • Get popup notifications when new email arrives. Clicking a popup takes you right to the message with auto-login into webmail accounts.
    • The email InfoBox gives you a snapshot of your unread messages with just one click
    • Perform actions such as "Mark as Read" or "Report Spam" right from the email InfoBox.
    • Send emails to your friends right from the IM window. The email is sent directly from any account digsby is tracking for you.

    Social Networking

    • Stay up to date with everything happening on your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn accounts.
    • Receive alerts of events such as new friend requests, messages, group invites, etc.
    • The social network InfoBox gives you a real time NewsFeed of what your friends are up to. Everything from new photos, to status updates, to upcoming birthdays is just a click away.
    • Set your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn status right from Digsby.

    Personalize

    • Customize digsby with application skins to give it a personal look and feel.
    • Change the way your conversations look with themes – everything from simple AIM-style windows to 3D conversation bubbles.
    • Complete control over the layout of buddies on the buddy list. Change everything from buddy icon size to whether or not to show a snippet of their away message.
    • Sort your buddy list how ever you want! You can organize buddies manually, by status, by service, by name or by log size to place those you communicate with most at the top. You can even choose a secondary sorting method.
    • Customizable notification system lets you choose what events you want to be alerted about and how.

    Other

    • Digsby offers complete synchronization between computers and installations. Everything from the skin you chose to your pre-defined status messages follows you from place to place.
    • You can place a widget on your blog, website, or social network profile so you can chat with visitors right from digsby.
    • Manage multiple simultaneous file transfers from one simple transfer manager.

    DestroyTwitter

This software is still in Beta but you can find more information about the features and everything here

    DT Information

I am currently running all of these and hope to add more to my list

Digsby is alright. My biggest problem is the notifications didn't display long enough to read the damn tweet. I still really like Twhirl compared to everything else I've tried, which includes a bunch of the apps Kris mentioned.

yeah I kept going between twhirl and blu. I like twhirl for the pop ups and the reducing to the system tray. But for some reason I really dig blu ( I just wish it had the pop ups and system tray)
