Thread: Twitter Problem

Ok so sense i changed my name on Twitter i keep getting this error when logging in through the computer and it also won't let me Login through any 3rd party apps.

Is anyone else having this problem?

lol i don't know what's wrong though it wont let me do ANYTHING and i so out of loop without my twitter!

Maybe try registering a new name and starting over, or email twitter support.

Are you sure you are typing your info in correctly? Do any of your twitter apps have you old info saved on them? I know when I changed mine my pc of course still had my old on file, so I had to log all the way and input the new one.

Would be my conclusion to. I noticed the same thing on my end the other day. You broke the database entry for your name possibly. Have you tried changing your name again to try and clear the issue? Sadly, I've never seen Twitter provide any technical support.

It wont let me login it just keeps saying what i posted in the screen shot, so i can't really change my name.

Can you still log in from other Twitter clients? Or maybe you are using the wrong username?

Nope can't log in from anywhere! And I am using the right login information

Hmm. Well my thought was maybe the database wasn't updated correctly during one of your name changes and has an older version you used. What about trying a password reset? Sometimes if I've forgotten my username or password I'll use the forgot password system to see if it can tell me whether or not I'm using the right username.

That worked looks like they still have my OLD name haha :-)

Awesome! Needless to say Twitter's database is easy to overwhelm. Hence the occasional fail whale.
