Thread: TV Show - Operation Repo....So STUPID

Anyone see this show, here in CT its on COMCAST on TRUE TV...channel 182..At first I kinda liked it but then...It just got extremely stupid. It now looks like it is SO scripted. It looks like I'm watching WWE now, the acting is pathetic.


One episode, the guy is on his roof and 'some how' falls off the roof onto the car?
The next episode, some guy runs up to the guy repo'n the car and kicks him in the "no no zone" but it looked SO fake. The way the guy (who got kicked) acted was just like the guys on WWE when they get fake kicked. Then the next episode, the guy is driving so fast around a corner and the car flips, no cops, no fire rescue..I think this show is SO pathetic and scripted now.

Its defiantly a tow truck version of pro wrestling. Yes Bryan, pro wrestling is fake. Sorry to disappoint you. :07:

I was thinking the same thing. It seems extremely staged. I watched it last week. Apparently one of the camera guys got into a car they were about to tow. Wouldn't get out of the car. So they started towing the car with the camera guy in it. Meanwhile, the guy driving the tow truck is driving all crazy cause he has to go to the bathroom, ends up taking a corner to fast and the BMW they were towing, with the camera guy inside, flipped.

I do have to disagree with you a little about WWE. I went once (cause my sister was there working and she's not normally in town). It was pretty cool in person.

I actually had a family friend who was a ref for WWE (when it was WWF). Its so funny to watch how its all acting now. Anyways back on topic, I'm trying to find the one where he gets kicked in the "no no zone" cuz its so pathetic.

Did you see the Dungeons and Dragons repo? I saw it on The Soup a few weeks ago. Guy is playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends in forest and they repo his Prius. I don't know how to embed the video in a post but here is the link.

My wife and I got addicted to this show. I was dissapointed to find out that they are all actors and it's all staged.

I've never saw the DeLorean one. I just sold my DeLorean and got a kick out of watching it. Michael Jackson impersonator is kinda timely, eh?

ha. just noticed there is a disclaimer before the show saying that they are reenactments of real repo events. haha

Ok, some of it's pretty out there, but you have to admit, it's done very well, as a reality show. I work in Television and it had me fooled.

Me and hallway work in television production here in Nashville. Chad is a Video Engineer/Crane Op and I am an Editor/Camera Op.
