I'm curious as to how many members use the Firefox extension Greasemonkey. It "allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript." I might consider releasing a script for this site if there is enough interest.

Never heard of it :lmao: what is it?
Never heard of it either but must admit I rarely if ever use Firefox.

Chrome here....never heard of it as well.
Rather surprised none of you have ever heard of Greasemonkey. It's an extension that lets you customize a web page just about however you'd like. I've put together a script (like I did for CB) that tweaks the design to be more efficient for reading posts and replying.

Yeah definitely Sunkast. I primarily use Safari but that feature does sound impressive. Would love to hear more about it if you'd like to share with us.
greasemonkey is a mechanic shop type place around here :lmao: :dunno:
There's no way to stop the content from loading, but using Greasemonkey you can modify it. Here is a screenshot of what I see when I view a post on here. BTW, don't mind my twitter in the corner there.
Basically the entire top header is gone which makes more room to view posts, translating into less scrolling. That's the whole point of my tweaking is to reduce the amount of time it takes to navigate around. There's also a link to quickly get to the last post in a topic. Also the New Posts link is modified to exclude some of the forums (this can be changed). I don't care about any of the theme forums so they all get excluded any time I view new posts. That mean's I see more of the new posts I am interested in rather than the posts I don't care about.
Also when I am viewing the new posts, there are enhancements. Any topic I am subscribed to is highlighted. Any topic that has 1 or less replies is highlighted. That way I am immediately drawn to posts that need attention.

Ok I am going to give this a shot as this sounds and looks like a great feature.

I'm with Josh and primarily use Safari, but I think I could probably bust out Firefox again to try this out.
