NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Former Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed. Police said McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville.
The incident happened near 2nd South & Lea Ave. Police said it looked like a double homicide. A female victim was also found dead.

No word though on what happened.
Steve McNair and one female yet unknown until next of kin can be contacted. No news as to who what or how this happened according to ESPN news. Still under investigation and don't know if this took place last night or today prior to the bodies being found.
This has not been a good two weeks regarding loss.

I had the privilege of watching Steve play many times here in Nashville. There has never been a tougher QB in my book. Nashville is in mourning right now over one of our heroes. May God comfort his family. You will be greatly missed Steve.

I hear ya but could have been confused with firecrackers or when in the hood sometimes gun shots are normal and no one talks. We will have to wait to hear on this one cuz who ever knows what happened may have gone to ground. No mention on a weapon being found which would eliminate muder suicide. No sign of forced entry in the condo. Steve was on the couch and the female was on the floor.
The latest news is that it looks like the girl he was with killed him and then shot herself. Reports on the local news say the two were spotted together last week in a traffic stop.

Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair was killed in an apparent murder-suicide with a young woman he met at a local restaurant and have been dating for at least a few months.
McNair, the hometown hero who did extensive charity work in Nashville, died of several gunshots and was found on the sofa, police said. Sahel Kazemi, 20, was found alongside him in a Second Avenue condo he rented. She had a single gunshot wound to her head; a pistol was found near her body.

Great player on the field but obviously not a role model off the field. Still hate to hear it especially being a Titans fan for so many years it hits close to home. I hope they do something special at the first home game this year even though he was no longer with the team. Most people will remember him as a Titan.
For me the jury is still out on this one. Recent news is that she was found with a shot gun blast to the head. (?) So, news does not seem complete and Steve was renting out the condo with a business partner. This partner found the bodies and called someone else who then called the police. For me why would this guy not call the police when he found the bodies?????Quote:
