Hello to all of you Team BlackBerry addicts out there! We have an important disaster to report going on with one of our fellow BlackBerry friends, Erwin, otherwise known as ToraxCefiro. Erwin is from Manila, Phillipines and his area has been hit with neck deep flooding. He is currently without internet and is just able to stay on dry ground. Last I checked, I wasn't able to contact him via BBM either. So until things get better, he is going to be without luxuries we all take for granted for awhile. What's worse, is that his families house has been ruined by flooding.

I want to ask if any of you would be able to help Erwin out with any size donation you can afford. No donation is too small! We are trying to reach a goal of $150 dollars or more so that he will be able to afford a restoration crew to go in and get his families house back in shape enough for them to live in again after the floods have receded.

I want to thank one of our BBOS guest writers, Corran Blyth, for getting this fundraiser started. With all the help Erwin has given to the BlackBerry community, he is more than deserving this much needed help. Thanks!

Ok, everyone. Thanks to all who donated to help Erwin recover from the floods. It's people like you who make a difference around the world.

Although we only got 1/3 of what the goal was, $50 is still a lot of money in Manila, and it will still be able to help with damages.

I'll be sending Erwin the money ASAP and he'll update us in this thread on the current situation now that the floods have receded.

Hi All! I would like to say thank you for the prayers and all the help! We are now still in the process of recovering what we had lost during the flooding. I appreciate all the help you have given me and the support especially to Corran and Boss Joe and to all who have helped me. You guys are amazing. I would like to share to you guys what really happened in our area with the recent flooding in my country.. It was really sad but we're thankful to God, no one got hurt..

Attached are the pictures I've taken when my BlackBerry Bold 9900 still got battery.. It was really hard for us to be contacted due to the bad weather but we tried our best to keep the battery we've got however unfortunately, all our batteries were drained and the electricity supply was cut-off. Luckily, my BB's were safe during flooding whew!

This tragedy left us with ruined investments and sad memory but we will definitely keep our faith to God as nothing is impossible to get back in God's power..

Right now, we are still in the process of recovering and will work hard to get back all the things we have lost one by one with the help of my relatives and friends.

Again, I want to thank Boss Joe and Corran of C2 Development for having this kind of help and I will cherish your kindness and support.. Thanks Team BlackBerry! ({})

Seeing the pictures really gives you that depth of the situation. Thanks for sharing so others can see just how much of a mess it really was.
