iPhone 3GS sells 1 million phones over the first Weekend

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, iPhone sales topped 1 million in its debut weekend with an additional 6 million downloading the new 3.0 software. Those numbers are staggering when you think it took the Storm more than two months to accomplish that.

Of the 1 million iPhone sold, 12% of those were converting from the Storm.

I was seriously shocked at those numbers! Wait till they add push email, increase security and so on, then rim will be struggling to stay out of water!

Sorry forget to give Olta credit for bringing this to my attention. They do have push email but only yahoo and mobileme. When they off true push and a unified inbox RIM is screwed. I played with one this weekend and it was really fast. Plus now that you can type in landscape makes it really nice.

I wish they had test ones to play with at stores so I could test it out.

Are you kidding or being serious? 50,000 apps Bryan think of all the fun you could have. You could throw away that netbook.

I know but $425.00 for the ETF not to mention the price of 3 phones through ATT. Little more than what I want to take on.

If the Iphone was on Verizon i would be jumping ship in a heartbeat. The sooner they come to Big Red ill be switching up. I played with my brothers 2 weeks ago at that point i liked my storm better but something is pulling me to the Iphone. Just don't seem like my storm is that great at the moment.

You're not alone. Many have jumped shipped to the iPhone from the Storm. IMO it's still the touchscreen phone to beat.
