Well she was wrong. There is no change to the back. It will be the same as the 2nd gen. Apple went away from the metal back because of poor reception. Since they have so many different radios they found the plastic back gives them the best reception.

And you can start pre ordering the 3GS on AT&T right now.

I heard thruogh the grapevine that verizon was going to be getting rights to this phone.

Posting that pic to tease us about the battery door :-). I thought that phone looked way cool to bad it's not what they're going to use.

That could be a killing blow to AT&T IMHO

I am really thinking about getting that Iphone. But I will wait to see if it comes to Verizon first before I make the jump.

I heard the same thing the problem is that AT&T has exclusivity on it until 2010.

i'll give the next BB touchscreen a chance, if it lets me down its off to apple...but i'm one of these who love the storm....hybrided up of course...so i don't know

For me the reception is awful. I live in Los Angeles and travel to NYC almost weekly and I cannot tell you how many dropped calls I had with the 2nd gen iPhone. You would think the two largest cities in the US would have good reception but no. IN my house in LA verzion gets signal AT&T is a no go. To me that dropped calls were a deal breaker.

Yeah I hear that! I'm a flooring Contractor so I don't need to travel But I don't need dropped calls. I just hope RIM doesn't drop the ball on the 2nd Storm.
