Check out this thread by Neo. He has a really nice video of how to backup third party apps so you don't have to go through all the trouble of re-installing.

MeterBerry resets mine every day at 3:30am.
Doh... u guys are making me look bad... I did so many resets in the past week testing out all sorts of themes under V7.... :P
between uninstalling and upgrading apps and messing with themes and such, i do a couple a day too recently![]()
I never look at memory! I only reset if it locks or change os which recently has been quite alot. Since I have had data issues lately, does anyone know if I reset daily could that make a difference? I haven't seemed to notice this if I do reset, but who knows since we all know this phone can be unpredictable! :haha:

You will probably get many different answers with respect to this question but here are my thoughts. I never, ever reset my phone. My memory is typically very stable ranging from the mid 30s to low 40s. I have experimented with resetting daily verses not resetting at all and found no real appreciable difference.
I'm with j on this one. I've been all week now since a battery pull. I wiped my device over the weekend with BB Swiss Army Knife, installed .148 and have been around 25 to 35 mb's. The only thing I have notice is that I've lost the indicating arrows that show tx and rx when using my browser or any streaming application. I saw this on .122 when it dropped but haven't seen it in the later builds until now. Yes the only way to get it back IMO is to battery pull.

I've been running straight .148 for a week and haven't had a need to reset. Memory has always stayed in the range of 25-35MB and "exercising" the device (running apps, calendar, browser, camera, etc and being certain to close when finished) brings that up to the higher end of the range and sometimes higher. I actually rarely check the memory anymore as the device has been running smoothly throughout this period. Only time I've reset (not in past week) is when deleting apps or messing with installing OS's to evaluate.
I have been up almost 6 days without a battery pull on V7, very happy with it.
Storm shows Uptine: 487985 secs
If anyone is unaware of how to get this information go to your home screen
While holding down the back button (the sideways U one) touch (do not click) at the top of the screen in this order, left corner right corner left corner right corner and a Help Me screen will appear. If it shows up and your sound profile shows up on top of it it just means you clicked and you should be able to back out easily. to get out of the Help Me screen just hit the back button. This screen also shows memory, platform and app version pin # battery level and signal strength
Right.... Just something else to monitor... HA!
I us meterberry and it resets at 0500 each day.
