Broken relationships caused by BB!!!!

I am starting this thread to see how many people's lives or relationship has been affected cause of our beloved " Blackberry "... We all know somehow or at some point it will. We are united. We are one addicted people. I'll go first.

Few years back, I got a new toy. It's name was Blackberry. At first sight we laid in each others eyes, I was in love. I had a girlfriend back then and she was understanding why I would want this new toy when I had her at home. Personally, I didn't think my love for my bb can go any further but it did. One step higher than my girlfriend could offer. " BBM!!! " I learned to united with people all over the world discussing politics to BS. Never really had to give myself or sell myself short. After 3 months past, Me and my girlfriend would argue about how I pay more attention to my bb then her. Even gave me an ultimatum. As a gentleman I settle to pay more attention to her needs. But when she zzz'ed out, I would BBM my friends in the bathroom or at the deck. I could never give my BB up for a girl.

One day, I had left my bb on the dining room table when she discovered my BBM. Let's just say she threw my BB across the room and shattered it. Telling me how I was cheating on her and who all these people were. Well, my next reaction was not something I was proud of... I get up and run to my bb and scream at her for what she did. I denied any accusation she had cause now there was no proof and how I am not guilty. Then I yelled " You better buy me a new Blackberry Woman!!! " Yea I was wrong for saying that was she did break my source of communication.

Weeks passed and I did get my blackberry but now I got a curve. She was there purchasing it for me ( WHIP!!! ) I promised her again with how I will pay more attention on our relationship. We went to counseling for our relationship. The shrink brought out a point where I am not to be blamed for my BB usage. Trust should be there for me not to cheat. 2 months later, we broke up cause to be honest, I was BB cheating on her. This time she had solid proof.

Sorry this was long but I had to say what was on my mind. How bb can and will ruin your relationship.

i am a newlywed... first came marriage then came my first BB.

i cant tell you how many times the hubby has told me that i should have married my phone instead of him. He has a dumb phone so he doesnt understand the addiction. No matter where we are, whether we are sitting on the couch watching tv or out to dinner or what have you... I sneak in a lil BB time and type away. He has grown to accept it and just gives me "the look".

A couple weeks ago, he asked me to go outside and hand him something... so i went outside (in the rain) and hopped down the steps and Stormy flew out of my sweater pocket and bounced repeatedly on the driveway, battery door went flying and all. i picked up the phone and battery door and walked over to him and he asked if it was broken, when i looked at it and said no i could see the dissapointment in his eyes :lmao:

so when he starts with me about my bb addiction, i simply remind him that he was too :censored: lazy to go out and get me a bday gift so i took it upon myself to get the storm as his gift and for that i thank him. :nana:

My wife ignores me so she doesn't know I have a BB :lmao:

Trust me, I know where you are coming from, I made her feel so guilty after throwing my BB that I made her get it for me. Worst part, she paid retail when later we broke up, I convince the store to refund me the account for upgrade. LOL

Right now, I have to deal with an Iphone user as a girlfriend but she is good to me so we do our thing cause addiction is just something I am never giving up.

i told him if anything happens to my phone he is going to be buying me a new one and i showed him the retail price of it.... he didnt like that very much and now he is always asking me where my phone is if its not in my hand.

like the other day... we had a bbq gone haywire with a 3 yr old and a hose and things just got a lil crazy... let me just tell you, i was drenched from head to toe within minutes and hubby comes up to me... "omg, where is your phone. pls tell me its not in your pocket" :lmao:

Here is another issues I forgot to mention.. All my bookmark on my netbook and my bb is anything and everything to deal with bb and she calls me a "freak".. LOL Plus I tell her Iphone might have all these apps but Blackberry will rule in corporate world.

I used to catch Hell all the time from my wife, lol. I tried forever to convince her to give up her EnV phone, for a curve. I even got her a new Voyager in January, when I got my Storm. She played with the curve in the store, and proclaimed it "stupid". Last month our neighbor introduced her to a little blessing called Facebook. Soon after, I saw one of her Fb posts, and commented from my phone. She was surprised that i had it on my phone, and wanted it on hers. The next day she activated my old Curve, and hasn't put it down since. So now we are one happy couple (well at least we both love our phones), lol. Now she understands the addiction, and I dont get the "eye", as Laney so named it, anymore.

lmao, i dont have that issue... my husband is technology challenged. i gave him my old env and he is still getting used to a qwerty kewboard :lmao: that and he doesnt go on the pc much cuz he is challenged... sometimes he needs his email address for something and doesnt even know what it is... he has to call me to tell him what it is :lmao:

Hi my name is ealvnv and I am addicted too.

As all of you I had to deal with my fiancee bcuz of my berryadiction, we had a lot of disscusions on that matter, she said that I love my berry more than nothing, even than her, (true????) Well one day I decided to stop all this problems and decided to quit of the berry, I couldn't.

bought her a 8900, and oh God, what I did, a miracle? Nooo, just a Berry smart solution, we have a BERRY happy relationship now, thinking to introduce the kid too, but is too young yet, 2 yrs (isn't ?).

If you have a problem with hubby/girl, just get him/her a blackberry!!!

This is funny and I have the fix...my fiance soon to be wife...was giving me holy hell like two weeks ago that we fight so much because I am alway on my storm or on the computer playing with it. Again a few days later the 3rd degree for the phone....a week later I got her the pink curve....since she has said nothing but been on her phone...its great I dont have to sneak to get on here and take a quick peak from the phone....i got her bubble breaker and we dont even argue now...we jsut sit and feed our addictions.

Ummm.. I tried the whole " Baby, I bought you a blackberry.. " She replied with " Eww.. Nooo I love my iphone." There is no winning when it comes to that. I will say we did have a conversation by having mini competition to see who can type fastest on their device and send bulk emails. I won of course to my technology of BB usage. LMAO Hopefully, she will turn heads when AT&T loses Iphone.

Its probably obvious Im addicted. I got my first BB back in 2003 or 04 with my 7120 and cant really remember the exact year. It started out as a requirement for work and soon grew into a love affair. I have strayed from her a couple of times and each time she has taken me back with open arms. I cant go a day much less an hour without doing something with her. It has become even more intense as the years have past and my decision to take our relationship one step further. The sad part is I keep trading her in for the new and improved model. Imagine if I did that with my wife....oohhh that would be bad. Then it started, my 8830we, I was not happy with the performance of the OS and decided I would tweak it to my own liking, my first hybrid so to speak.I was very happy with her after the surgery. Then came my beloved Storm, love at first sight all over again. Then realization set in, this new model was a let down so to speak. So, once again back to the OS drawing board. Many nights I have spent caring for my baby an giving her all my attention. My wife doesnt understand and probably never will. Though she has decided to just let me have my love affair with my BB and even more so with BBOS, it did cost me a netbook though.
