    Cisco announces Ipad competitor

Cisco has announced that it will be launching an Android-based tablet, named the Cius, in 2011.

With a 720p front facing video camera, and a 5 megapixle camera on the back, it looks like they are going after the video conferencing demographic.

Check out what the new Cius is rockin'.

    Tablet Highlights:

    • 7” diagonal, high-resolution color screen with contact-based touch targets
    • HD Soundstation supports Bluetooth and USB peripherals
    • Detachable and serviceable 8-hour battery!
    • Highly secure remote connections
    • HD audio

This sounds like a serious offering from Cisco aimed directly at RIMs market share, if it ever releases its tablet device.

I know the feeling, I have messed around with an andriod phone for all of 30 seconds, so I can't say whether I like it or not. But this piques my interest a little.
