Is anybody at all down the middle politically, or is everyone either a liberal or conservative? I hate politics in this country.

Being down the middle means you either are incapable of making up your mind or you are trying to play both sides. It's like saying you like both Michigan and Ohio State. If you think about it, what is down the middle? I want low taxes and lots of government services. How can you have both? There are countless things that could be looked at, but the end result is the same, anyone down the middle is either incapable of making decisions or putting their finger in the air to determine which way the wind is blowing.

Let me clarify. I consider myself down the middle. I have a clear cut opinion on every issue. I am very easily able to make up my mind or figure out as you so eloquently put it which way the wind is blowing. On some some issues I lean left and some I lean right, but I don't tie myself to any party or any movement such as the tea party. I refuse to have a though on something purely because the party I am a member of feels the same way about an issue. I refuse to listen to blowhards like Limbaugh and Beck who have absolutely zero qualification to comment on politics as they were both nothing more than the hosts of morning zoo radio hosts prior to being "political" commentators if you even want to grace them with that title. On the same token I refuse to listen to blowhards on the other side as well like Bill Maher and Michael Moore. They are all one and the same. Extremism in any direction is a bad thing. Extreme conservatives, extreme liberals, the religious right and all other extreme groups can go to hell in my mind. I Hope that clears things up on my inability to make a decision.

What ever happened to black and white. Now everything is supposedly gray? No, its still black and white. If there's a grey area its because you don't truly stand for something.

If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.

Even the Bible talks about being lukewarm, (grey area).

I just clearly stated I have a clear cut opinion on every issue. I just associate myself with a party. There is no grey area.

What I can say is that the minute the bible is brought into a political conversation I am out of the conversation. Once people realize that politics and religious have NOTHING to do with one another, this country will be much better off.

I said, that you are either deliberately trying to play both sides OR you cannot make up your mind. Seeing as how you are making a point to say you have an opinion on every issue, I merely ask you to think about whether your opinions make sense. For example, if you oppose the death penalty because it might kill innocent people, do you support abortion which will kill an innocent person? Do you want less government but want the government to regulate banks? The contradictions are what makes being down the middle almost laughable. Don't get me wrong though, both major parties have positions that seem counter-intuitive.

With that said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and at least you have them. What bothers me more than anything is when people don't vote or make an uneducated vote (ie. voting for someone because they have an R by their name or they have a "cool" name) and then complain about what the government is doing. I find it appalling that my generation (I'm 25) seems to value playing on their PS3 more than educating themselves about politicians and political issues. If you think about it, it would take someone less than an hours to get a basic understanding of where politicians stand on key issues and what their policies would mean for all Americans, but my generation can't be bothered to miss an episode of American Idol to do that research.
