    I remember those! They might have been huge, heavy, and ugly... But imagine if our bb's had the 3 watts of power. That would be sweet. The first model #'s I can teme.ber having were the Nokia 2160 + 6120. Top notch at the time. Couldn't even imagine now.

    It was close, I got my first brick phone in 85' or somewhere around there. Cant remember for sure

    85? they had cell phones then. good god.

    I remember my dad was friends with the guy who started Bell Atlantic. He would come over and keep trying to talk my dad into being partners with him and invest money with him and my dad kept saying no. What a horrrrrible decision. ha

    ya, they had the brick and the car phone. It was actually my folks phone. Back then they were ungodly expensive.

    mine was a Motorola Star-Tac, analog. then the black (digital) one. BEST PHONE EVER MADE!!!!!!!

    My first mobile cellular phone. If I remember correctly the battery was good for about an hour.


    I couldn?t find a photo of my original 1970?s car phone. It was pre cell and in the city of Boston we had about ten lines you could use. It took up your whole console and the unit in the trunk was about the size of a suitcase. When they came out with the cell car phone it was a much smaller unit but I think there were about 5 cell towers in the state of Massachusettshone:
