Thread: Baby Kimber needs your Prayers

Hello my BBOS family. I am hoping I can ask for your prayers for my 11 month old daughter Kimber Braylin. Last night while at zoo lights at the Phoenix zoo she began to vomit and run a high fever (103). My wife and I took her to the ER and as we walked in she began to have a seizure. Luckily I had a ER Dr and several nurses there within seconds. After a Brain CT Scan, Spinal Tap, and over 15 lab tests, she was diagnosed with H1N1 "Swine Flu". This is the worst thing I have ever seen and I have been in medicine for over 17 tears. Please watch your children for a spike in temperature and a fever. This can lead to febrile seizures. She is doing slightly better now but I could really use my BBOS family's prayers.

Oh, wow, Pain, that's horrible!!! I wish well to your precious daughter, and your whole family. I am in medicine too and have seen H1N1 cases. Remember to practice good handwashing to protect rest of your family and yourself. I hope all turns out well. Best wishes to your family. My thoughts and prayers out to you.

Ouch. I am sorry Pain. The H1N1 is a total different case when it comes to infants. Only thing I can say is the "vaccine" is made about five minutes down the street from the building I am in. Will keep you in our prayer.

It is a thankful day in that it could have been worse, but my little girl (Like her Dad) is a fighter and is doing her best to get better. I do not want any other parent to go through this. This is the worst thing I have ever been through.

I agree with Jnepsa...for you and your wife: give your daughter the best of your love and care and that alone can do miracles.

That's awful pain. I had 2 of my kids get it but it wasn't nearly as bad as that. My prayers are with her.

Thank you Natemz, Ealvnv and Olta. Baby Kimber is doing better. So far so good. She is awake and she ate 6 ounces of formula. That's the most she has eaten in 24 hours. She is alert and temp is 100. She is still running hot but she is out of Intensive Care now. The prayers are really helping. My wife can't believe the BBOS family. She is extremely impressed and she smiled when I showed her the replies from this thread. I have my Storm 2 working Awesome!

GOOD TO HEAR PAIN!! I couldnt imagine what you are going through but am glad she is getting better.

Your daughter and your family are in my prayers Pain! I can only hope that this passes quickly and everything is ok. I am sorry that this has happened....
