I "thought" I was good in Math. In High School I passed with A's. Forward to now (5 years later), I cant remember what I learned in 8th grade!! This is what College is giving me for Math as a Homeland Security major.
Solve by the substitution method.
x + 3y = 0
x - 3y = 36
Second problem
7x + 4y = -3
9x + 6y = 3
-
I know you have to isolate (solve) for x and y, just my answers don't seem to be correct.
-
Well you got me there. At least I feel safer that homeland is requiring some smarts and not just brawn.

It's stupid. The Military was easier then this ha.

y= -6
x= 18
for the first one. Apparently the M&Ms I ate were pretty good! ha

Sorry to say man but I think that's the simple shit..... What comes down the road will make that look like 1+1=x

Thanks for the help guys. I answered them this morning. Would be hard to believe but Math was one of my favorite subjects and I passed Algebra I and II with A's. cveklund said it best. When you don't use what you learn for so long, you forget. I just could not believe how much I forgot!
