I've always done this too with every cell I've had for as long as I can remember. Almost always get more than I paid for the phone even after using it for a year plus. But all my phones have always been in pretty pristine condition. My poor lil S1 has accumulated quite a bit of dust under the screen so I really don't wanna take it to ebay. I could so see getting a chargeback even after full disclosure.

So $195 straight up...no ebay fees, listing, buyer worries, etc. sounds pretty sweet. Curious to hear how this works out.

yeah i think i'm going to really put my phone on ebay...or craigslist.

Already beginning to sound shady. A quoted price is a quote price. I wonder what other exceptions they will have by the time they are ready to cut a check.

i think he meant new quotes would be 150 at that time.. i have him on bbm will try to get ahold of hiim and confirm

I think I'm going to go this route with my 8330 and 9530 so i don't have to hassle with eBay. PayPal locks your money down for a week and you end up paying enough in fees that by the time its all said and done about all is left is what these guys are offering cash.

Plus I went with the Droid, and I just wish RIM had something comparable because I love my BB. My wife even told me that she has no idea how I'm going to live without it.

I will give it two weeks, and make a decision then.

i got lucky and didnt have to go the cash4berries or ebay route - i got vzw to replace my S1 with an S2! setting it up now!

when u guys are selling ur s1, are you including your sim card or taking it out?

the Storm 1 is now down to $125...thats a ripoff. No way am I going there - I considered it when it was $195, though I still thought I could probably do better on ebay (plus i have extra accessories), but now its almost 50% less than what it was a week ago? I think ill pass on this site...

when you say "got vzw to replace" do you mean, for free like a defective phone warranty replacement? or they allowed you to do an early upgrade? If they are replacing "defective" Storm 1s with Storm 2, then I will be all over that

I used the Droid, thought I'd give it a shot for a couple of weeks and return it withn 30 days if I didn't like it. ...that was 18 hours ago and I'm back on my Storm 2. Though I was surprised at how soon I needed my BB "fix", I spent all those hours messing with the Droid and learning it. At the end of the day, its no Berry.

Not that I seriously considered not owning a BlackBerry, but for my personal line I wanted to give the Droid a shot and see what they hype was all about..I'll be doing a review on here soon enough, but lets put it this way:

you can tell that the Droid is a first generation model, and you can also tell that the Android OS is also a new operating system. Blackberry has been a staple in the smartphone game for years, and it was never more obvious to me than after "playing" with the Droid for a day...or less.

i was on my 6th storm and was about to have them send me #7 but i was not having it at that point. kept calling until i got the right person on the phone, gave them my full story, they put me on hold and came back and said an S2 is on the way! i was lucky for sure.

This site was geared more for people with beat up berries.. and remember with the S2 being out after the fees and everythig you will be lucky to get 150 from the storm 1

ok I had the box for a few days now hoping someone would say they got the money but it seems I would have to be the first to go for it, so tomorrow I'm sending it out. My price quoted was 195.00 for S1, so here goes...

Where is my post? I made a post on this thread days ago, it has been quoted several times, and now its gone???

whoever the heck this jnepsa guy is looks like he stole my post...how does that happen? His "reason for edit" message even says "consolidation"...how can someone just delete (or "consolidate") my post and have me not get credit for it???!?!?!?!?!?

I am a moderator and you had posted 3 or 4 posts in a row separately instead of one post. There was some kind of a mistake made and we are looking into it. Please check your PM's and try not to post 3 or 4 times within 3 min instead make one post.

is this worth it or what i want to get some extra cash for some stuff laying around
