Its one thing for the media to report facts regarding the current state of a company, but its quite a diffrent story when they attack the user base.

    The article is grossly inaccurate:

"More indignity comes in having to outsource tasks like getting directions, booking travel, making restaurant reservations and looking up sports scores to their exasperated iPhone and Android-carting partners, friends and colleagues."

The people they interviewed are clearly morons.

Shame that US media paints RIM negatively, while the rest of the world holds them in high esteem. RIM devices account for 80% of mobile use and emails in the Caribbean, far less for Europe

I doubt it will get past the moderators on their comments page, but this is what I responded with:

How much did Apple pay for this article? Whoever approved it should be fired for incompetence. Everyone "interviewed" should be relegated to a non-smartphone as they obviously can't perform basic tasks.

EVERYTHING they said they "needed" other smartphones to do can be done with any Blackberry dating back the last 3 years. Yelp? Opentable? Sports Scores? Mapping/Directions? ALL those apps are there and working well. 3 minutes to open the browser? Try one second.

Battery dead? Come on, Blackberry is KNOWN for the duration of the battery vs all comers.

The story about the charger? They use the most common USB cable in the smartphone industry - unlike iStuff.

NYT is getting a reputation for putting out inaccurate/incomplete and biased articles.
