It won't. These sources should only be trusted the once.

That would be great, but would be even better to know for sure. Instead of rumor after rumor an official announcement would be great for a change.

Been waiting.. for the 2.1 OS.. Taking too long...

not sure if the update was what i dowlloaded or not? There was an update i did on the evening of Sun Sep 30 that i thought was a software update but it went wrong - as updates do...... and now i have nothing on my playbook! it wiped it! I am not very happy to say the least........i have not tried to restore it yet, but that is what I will have to do - thanks for making my monday a true monday!

I just checked and no new PlayBook update. The other one we need is a smartphone Bridge update.

BlackBerry has forgotten us common people, so you can forget about 2.1. All I hear is Jam this and Jam that. There have been two beta updates, since the last official release. I suppose they think we are stupid.

The problem is, they keep pushing the date back further. In other words, I've heard that just when they think it's ready to go, it keeps failing the final testing phase. Which means it can happen any day now. We were hoping for today, but looks like that may not happen now.

Would be nice if RIM made some comments, gave at least a "guestimate" of the release date.
As 2.1 is delayed so long already, I don't hold much hope that BB10 for Playbook will release in a similar time as the BB10 handsets (which hopefully do arrive early 2013)

BB10 for the PlayBook will not be released until after the new phones are released from everything i am hearing.

Yes, BlackBerry 10 will not see PlayBook until after first BlackBerry 10 phones are released. RIM has said this. However, we may see 2.1 on Wednesday according to a new leaked doc. Our sources said yesterday, so if it does come, we were close.

There are days when I get so damn frustrated waiting on RIM that I want to scream. This is one of those days! Hopefully tomorrow will be better. :-)

True to their word, the OS 2.1 update was released on Wed Oct 3rd. waiting to install in case of more problems!
