I am extreamly dissipointed with this. This delay will hurt the company more than they can afford. They must turn this arround.

This is extremely difficult to digest. In an environment where businesses are starting to (no matter how small) climb out of the depths of the government induced economic crisis, RIM's loss reporting along with extreme lay offs is not good news.

I know of a few friends already that are selling their PlayBooks and getting other devices because of this news. They were excited to see BB 10 this fall/winter on their tablet.

Of course, like everyone else, the initial shock suddenly went from my head, traveled through my arms to my BlackBerry Bold 9900, and at that particular moment, I feel numb, and dumbfounded from the news I had read earlier on today.

I can imagine many BlackBerry users are understandably upset, can you blame them?

As was I, looking forward to RIM releasing BlackBerry 10 later this year, has been pushed in early next year.

As Joe posted above, I can see users either keeping their BlackBerry devices, and/or PlayBook, holding on with more patience than you can shake a stick at, and then you have some people who are just simply done, and have decided to sell what they have.

Personally, I couldn't sell my BlackBerry Bold 9900, there is not one device that meets and/or exceeds my needs as well as my current device.

I am disappointed as so others are, but I have faith that they will survive (BlackBerry). I'm sure RIM will lose a lot of customers who may not come back. I will be staying with Blackberry because I already love the OS 7 Bold 9930. I am just waiting for updates on the PlayBook for now.

As I was saying in another thread, Thorsten said that they will continue to push out BB 7 lower end devices to international markets to try and keep them afloat, as well as continue to pursue the Enterprise market. The question is, will this be enough till the release of BB10? I know they are cutting down costs, but we still have 6 months... at least.
