I am extremely disappointed also. And I truly don't know if I did find a tablet/phone combo that does what my Berries do that I would jump ship. Fact is that nothing else does. And I've been with BB so long I wouldn't know how to use anything else. Still disappointed though.
The delay of BB10 doesnt bother me from a personal perspective. I'm content with my current device.. does what I need and want. If I want to watch movies etc, on the go.. I'll do that on my Playbook or laptop.
It does bother me that they are losing money each quarter and might be sold or bought out to another company. I dont want to see Blackberry/RIM disappear or become irrevelant as some put it. I wont jump ship to Android or Apple because I dont like some of their business practices. i.e. gathering users info, tracking them without their knowledge. Lack of security; personally this should be an issue with all users, esp with all the malware, hacking etc.
When I'm due for an upgrade and BB10 is released I'll go with it then.
I can also relate to your post, Curve9370, as I'm very satisfied with my Bold 9900, it does everything I need it for, and well

I could never ever go to Apple, as their closed off platform would make me want to smash their device out the window, or mal-ware infected Android platform, which is obviously one reason most may not choose them, besides their lack of proper security protocols.
So, for those who have thought about today's disappointing BB10 delayed announcement, this is part of what RIM must do before they start to get better over time.
I'm here for the long haul, what about you?
Being a owner of the Dev Alpha and getting a tiny taste of what BB 10 will become, I'm on board for sure. I'm just a bit peeved over delays. No one likes em'.
Frankly the news of BB 10 being delayed is not my biggest concern. The bigger issue is RIM loosing money, and being sold as mentioned above by Curve9370.
For me, the only other OS or platform I would even consider jumping ship to would be Windows. But for that to happen RIM (God willing it doesnt happen) and mostly the Blackberry devices would have to be non existence or a drastic change i.e. being bought out and sold as a totally different device(s).
But I'm Blackberry all the way!!

We shouln't be surprised by this . RIM has proven time and time again they can't finish on time. I never put ant stock in what they say until the proof is in the pudding. All we can do is hang on for a few more improvements in 7 and for those of us that can ,wait patiently. for those who can't , I don't blame you.
