    Oh lovely.

I just purchased a 16gb playbook for my wife. First, BB says the new (OS2) OS will allow for sideloading Android, then two months later, they say they won't. With the (very) small selection of apps available in BB's 'app world' and no ability to sideload Android apps, the device makes a good coaster for the drink I'm going to need.

Now, less than a week after I purchased it, they say they're not going to keep making it--and there is no guarantee they will allow OS10 for the 16 gb model. Why do I suddenly feel ripped off?

I agree, I am pretty sure all versions will definitely going to experience the BB 10

They're not making any 16GB anymore but they didn't say it will not have the OS10. Don't worry as all versions will get the update. Also, sideloading Android apps is still working good. If you have problems doing it, you might want to check How To Sideload Android Apps On The BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0

    Let's just all wait

RIM should give us more details about this announcement . What does it really mean? Could it be that OS10 is too heavy for 16GB models? No OS10 upgrade available for the 16GB models? Will the 32GB/64GB prices drop? I particularly love the PlayBook and will definitely consider moving to a 64GB version, but it would be nice to know the answers to these and any other relevant questions.

I can safely say that the 16GB model will surely get the OS 10 update. RIM is simply prioritizing. Why sell a 16GB version, especially with such high content games coming to the tablet? The 9MM game from Gameloft is almost 1 GB. At that pace, on a 16G model you only have enough room for about 16 of those games. I think it's great thinking on RIM's part to move on to offering higher memory capacity.

No worries at all. You can still sideload apps, RIM will continue to support the 16 GB they are just not making it anymore. You should be fine.

It could be that BB 10 is rather large, but im thinking that they are finding out that more people are purchasing the 32/64GB versions. It will be interesting to find out just how heavy BB 10 will be.

Feels good to hear this, but will this upgrade be done over wi-fi alone ? Why cant we use the same way we upgrade our bb phones with the use of pc instead of only wi-fi? Just wondering.
