    Why would RIM be pushing this as BB10 is around the corner. From a user perspective, there is no way i"m considering upgrading to an OS 7 device from the previews I saw of BB10.

    That being said, I'll never refuse a Free upgrade

    Unfortunately I have to agree with Jason on this one. I seriously considered upgrading awhile ago but reconsidered when news of BB10 came out. And I really wanted a 9900, too!

    I think what RIM is trying to do is migrate their current users to BlackBerry 7, or rather as many of them as possible. At this point we do know that BlackBerry 10 is coming but not everyone will rush out and upgrade quickly. They had also had plans to support BlackBerry 7 alongside BlackBerry 10 for a while and it does make sense since BlackBerry 7 is their latest iteration of the BlackBerry OS.

    Also, I think it never hurts to have a spare handset around
