BlackBerry Protect is really an awesome app. I recently upgraded to a leaked os and messed up my backup. SO I had a new os and NOTHING else. Then I remembered BBP! Awesome!!! Especially for my Password Keeper: I store tons of important info in there, including banking stuff.
That being said, I never really look at the app. I set it and forget it. So I'm not sure, but have we always had text message backups?!? I use Crunch SMS, so it's not really relevant for me, but it's the only thing that I think might be different.
BB then, now, forever!
