The article fails to mention whether they are trading their Blackberries in for a NEWER Blackberry. It leaves the reader to assume they were going to another platform which isn't fair.
The 6-8 month mark of a new flagship phone (Bold 9900) is usually when the 'normal' people jump on. We've had 6 people here upgrade their 2 year old Blackberries in the last month to the new model. Technically those are "trade in's"
We have been trading ours in but getting BB 7 devices on 1 year contracts. They have the 100.00 trade in rebate going until June so the devices are not too expensive that way. I don't think everyone is abandoning RIM just yet. However if BB 10 devices don't keep Corporate customers from leaving we will need to find an alternative. I hope that doesn't happen.
Yep, trading in an old berry for a new one constitutes a trade in, doesn't it?
