I hope that this will be advise to other lower government agencies that going with the iPhone is a bad idea as far as security issues.
I am not a government worker but, I do receive a government pension and I think blackberry is an excellent smartphone. I own a BB Torch 9800, I wish I had the new Bold 9900 or 9930. Maybe I'll win one someday. I love blackberry because its easy to use and very dependable. I know people say the torch 9800 is sluggish but, I can live with that. I just hope RIM doesn't go out of business. Best phone in Nicaragua, and I want to continue advancing with the blackberry. I want the Bold 9900 or 9930. Regards, Jay
My cousin works for FEMA and says Berries are their tool of choice, now and for the future
Yes, fellas. I don't think BB will be going anywhere with government agencies anytime soon.
I work in the mobile device management (MDM) industry and am thus agnostic in terms of end device. Most of my customers and potential customers are federal and state government customers. While it's true that government agencies use a ton of BB's, the trend is to move away from them where possible, which is where companies like mine come in.
There is no agency that I know of that is planning to migrate to BB, only agencies planning to migrate off of them, especially the non military and intelligence agencies. And, even some of them have iPhone and Android projects underway.
