All of this has been frustrating at best. My 9700 (lack of memory/operating speed) started giving me so much trouble that I finally went to the AT&T store last week to see if they were stocking the 9900 yet or at least had any news of its release. The answer was no to both parts of the question. I now am a Verizon customer using the 9930. Too little to late for AT&T. All they would have had to do is communicate and project a release date to frustrated AT&T BlackBerry users, who have been quite vocal in their frustration. I would have been satisfied in limping along for another few weeks. The total dispassion on the part of AT&T towards its BlackBerry users is quite sad, really. I had a good ten year run with them and would have gladly made it another ten years. I had the feeling they just didn't care. BlackBerry is an integral part of my business. The enterprise server is a must for me as a private enterpreneur. I don't want or need the "lack of maturity" associated with BlackBerry's competitors when it comes to business applications and the lack of a real keyboard. The question which remains, is it too little too late for AT&T? Is their BlackBerry snub something which they will attempt to repair over time or will they realize the value that BlackBerry customers have brought to their network? Now that the 9900 is coming to AT&T, will the service associated with this great smartphone be any better than AT&T's blundering in the public relations and communications areas with BlackBerry customers?
Very well put. Its too bad a good phone does not equal good service.
I posted somewhere else that I thought the delay in AT&T bringing on the 9900 may have to do with the 9810 being their signature BlackBerry device.

The problem with that is that they haven't even shown it as a signature device. I could understand that logic if AT&T were to have given the 9810 any spotlight. They've priced it at $50 on a 2 year contract and are in some stores, using the same Torch 9800 posters instead. It makes absolutely no sense that AT&T did that.
