Damage like this is with those kind of drops is well expected. I would like to see how an iPad survives the same kind of test. It is much heavier, so it will hit the cement harder. When I get my PlayBook, it will have a protective case. It will receive the care that I give all my fine equipment.

Accidents do happen, so the extra waranty is worth it.
