J, I don't understand, is there a way I can make it 600 x 600 pixels? Also on an aside, I downloaded the new BBOS launcher (rating it 5 Donna "yeahs") it looks neat as soon as you hit the button. I'm having a small issue though, where on it do you log in? I could not see it. I was just getting ready to delete my BBOS bookmark. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on that quite yet so I could post this
To make it 600x600 I just use photobucket to upload it and then edit it in the resizer there... that is probably the easiest way.. as far as the mobile launcher dont tell anyone but I have not even had time to play with it yet.. if I find out I will tell you but if I had to guess you would just click on any of the icons... log in on the mobile version that comes up and then you should be logged in unless you clear your browser cache. even the its an app look it still launches the web browser.. Hope this helps...(BTW I think its at the bottome of the mobile page)

Oh, ok, I found it. I was like uh oh at first cause I enjoy reading my BBOS on my back porch. Wellexcept the last few days. Its been too cold. But a big Donna yeah, its gonna warm up to the upper 70's. Anyway I noticed the button ts on the bottom of the "new posts" section. I did not see it though on the other 7 buttons. Also I appreciate the photobucket tip. It will give me something to play with today cause I don't have or ever used that photobucket thing.

Love the "Donna yeahs" ratings scale!

FYI, they played "No Better Way" by Donna Jean and the Tricksters (now known as the Donna Jean Godchaux Band with Jeff Mattson, for everyone reading this not named JerryG) on Grateful Dead Radio last night (XM 57).

I do not know if this gets any Donna yeahs, but here is part two of the Jerry/Merle show courtesy of The Professor and The Deadpod:

This week - the second part of this fabulous recording of Jerry Garcia and Merle Saunders during the salad days of 1973 - July 10th at the Keystone in Berkeley CA.
I don't have alot to say about this - let you ears enjoy the genius displayed and lose yourself in this fabulous recording...

the notes for this recording state: "I'm not sure on the lineage but I've thought alot about it. It's obviously a multitrack mixdown(gaps between tunes). Some of the JGB stuff from the Debbie Stash are masters(like 6-6-73!!). My best guess of the 7-10-73 is Multitracks(Bob and Betty Ampex MM110)>2 track mixdown MR>R @ 7 1/2 ips.(WB)>DVD. That's what I think it is esp. being a 7 1/2 ips. reel and the dynamics(nice!!). It was probably "working reels" for the original album that Jerry had maybe that he was picking tunes from"

Thanks for posting this second set Lou. I really enjoyed last week's. The Merl's tune looks interesting, and of course looking forward to the encore, JGB alway's nails that song. I'm glad your getting a kick out of the Donna rating scale. Speaking of Donna I was experiencing this You Tune fad on the BlackBerry this morning. I have no idea how I wound up there but watched some footage of Donna with The Dark Star Orchestra doing the Music Never Stopped. She still has that "it". What pipes

This week marked the 75th birthday of one of the most pivotal characters in the history of the Grateful Dead, Owsley Stanley.

It would certainly not be an exaggeration to claim that the Grateful Dead would not have been without his help and involvement - nor even to say that the world is a much different place because of all he has done..

Jamie Waddell over at Lossless legs released this music, recorded by Bear himself, to mark the occasion and I felt it a noteworthy moment and wanted to share it with you..

This is a beautiful show, nicely recorded (there are spots with quite a lot of reverb) and not every song was recorded.. we have what Bear decided to record... but I do think you'll enjoy it..

Yeah I can agree the world is a much different place cause of Alice D Millionaire. I can say my world became a little more "colorful". Maybe some of his "concoctions" made there way east. Nice tidbit there Lou. Lke the second set, UJB, PITB, Around x2, Good Lovin. In my opinion the Comes a Time doesn't fit with that grouping. I wanted to BBM you this tidbit Lou but it said busy so I will mention it here. I like watching the NFL with the TV sound off and Jerry playing. So this Sunday I found 9/28/75. A unique show considering they didn't play all that many in 75. 2 highlights, the Help on the Way...whoa. Its the best version of it I ever heard. Jerry's playing is so good he's not only forgetting some words, he's forgerring complete versus. Also the Stronger Than Dirt...Wow. His playing the frist 5 or so minutes is superb. Oh, one last thing that was me listening g to it on a Maxell (hint hint)9/28/75 hint hint
