Nuked BB9000

Cannot charge my bb9000 and here is what I did to fix it but it failed
1. Loaded & installed the 9000M_PBr5.0.0_rel1728_PL5.2.0.89_A5.0.0.1067_AT_T
2. Loaded 700_b030_multilanguage (destop manager) to my pc
3. Opened Research in Motion and Apploader folder to run the Loader
4. Connected BB900 and get Pin: unknow.
5. Click next
6. Get Update your Device window that contains:
a. Load JVM and System software successfully
b. Wait for device initialization
c. Read the application configuration
d. Loading applications

step a went thru successfully
step b shows a Reconnecting to JVM bar completed but I get the following message:
"application loader was unable to connect with your device. Please reconnect your device, enter password, if required, and click Retry.

I did several times but it still failed.
That means my device is total dead and has to replace the hardware?

Please help

Hey Bookie, Welcome to the community. Sorry to hear your having issues but I may be able to help. The detail you posted was great, thanks for that. If the device is failing to reconnect to the hand held try following the steps in this thread http://www.blackberryos.com/blackber...thout-jvm.html

In addition to that, make sure your device is charged. The blackberry will be getting some power form the computer while the loading is happening but during the reload it will restart and if you doesn't have battery power it will cause it to fail on the reconnect.

Hi Ishap,

It still did not work even I run loader with NOJVM. After verifying device initilization it still went to Reconnecting to JVM and failed. It also failed when I try the other method of your recommendation

I've got a simular problem with a BB 9800 :(
