Have you checked Manage Connections>Mobile Network?
Is it un-check (Off), or checked (On)
I have tried that but its not working, the check box looks like its searching, no signal, then after a few seconds its off again. When I remove the sim it doesnt indicate that there is no sim even. Tried different sims to find out if its the carrier but still the same thing.
You may want to consider an OS upgrade or downgrade. Could you please tell us what OS version you are currently on? You can do this by navigating to Options -> Device - > About Device Version. What your looking for is the number that begins with the letter "v" v7.0.0.345 something like that.
Im used to doing upgrades and downgrades. The previous version on the fone was v7.0.0.2...., I upgraded the os to v7.1.0.74 which I am currently using on another fone without any issues, unfortunately the same problem persists. The radio just wont turn on, even after running diagnostics.

I am very familiar with OS7.1.0.74 for the Bold 9900, which had some issues.
If I may kindly suggest upgrading to OS7.1.0.267, I'm sure you will be more than satisfied with this build.

I bought a blackberry Bold 9900 after 10 days mobile network turned off and wouldn't turn on i did battery pulls , wiped the phone , did OS updates restored to original OS still same issue i took it to multiple repair shops and they said there is an issue with radio frequency module on the motherboard so in other words the phone is useless and RIM wont replace it because i didn't buy the phone from them directly my service provider wont repair it because i dont have the receipt i've spent soo much money on this phone just to find out its a big FAIL!
