Thread: Restoring my Blackberry Bold 9700 from OS 6 to OS 5

Hi there,
Can someone share how could i restore by BBB 9700 which i have accidentally upgraded its OS to OS 6, but would want to restore it back to OS 5. This is because OS 6 takes out too much of the device memory and the device is left with little memory for me to install other opplications.

I see you own a BlackBerry Bold 9700, currently with OS6.0, and you wish to return to OS5.0.

That is possible.

There are 2 options I have for you tyeo, and those are either to wipe your Bold 9700 using BBH-Tool, or BBSAK, until you see a 507 code on the device (it is completely normal), you will need to install the latest OS5 file (below) to your Bold 9700.

Another option is too keep OS6.0 and shrink it using BBH-Tool, when used properly, it can save you a lot of storage application room for your Bold 9700.

I have provided you the tools for you to choose either one, it's up to you.
