help with my purchase
i have been living in new york for some months, and i am going back home in a couple of weeks. i have never thought about buying a blackberry as i found it so costly for my student pocket, haha...
the thing is that last day i saw an unlocked and supposely new blackberry for 50 bucks!!! it was displayed in one of these electronic devices store in midtown. the store seemed pretty good and the staff serious; however, there is a huge different in price and i want to figure out why is that.
i read that the devices from these stores usually have fallen down from the truck :P , and honestly i don´give a shit.
i know that i am not going to get a warranty or any good return policy, but i am willing to take the risk.
PLEASE COULD YOU TELL ME IF THE CELL WOULD WORK WITH SIM CARDS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES? WOULD I GET ALL THE SERVICES INCLUDING INTERNET?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS!!
You probably need to provide additional info...what type of BlackBerry is it ? Where are you going ? Which carrier are you using?
I put in a Help Request for you...so keep an eye on this thread.
This is a chinese made knock off. I see them all the time on broadway in the 20's and 30's. Don't buy it if you want a real blackberry. Just go on ebay an get an old 83xx series from att or tmobile. Then unlock it and use it on whatever carrier you want wherever home may be.
Your internet would come from the data package...
Keep in mind that you would need a phone plan and a data package, so you would end up with a monthly cost of $50 or more depending on what you choose.

Some people sell then because they think they are damaged when its only a software problem which can be fixed (usually) so check your local listings too.
Put an add in the Wanted section. Some websites allow them and they are usually free as well.
