Moving Over to BBOS ...

I was a senior Genius on that "other" board for quite some time. They have their strengths and the general news content on that "other" board is undeniably excellent. However, as we've seen with many boards that grow past a certain size, the juvenile members start showing up and the quality of the mods starts going down and the value in continuing to participate starts to become questionable. I raised concerns with the management at that "other" board and was consistently insulted. So I've turned off my account there and moved over to this board.

I've been a lurker here for a long time. This board needs to grow content but the content it has is excellent and indeed very much "just the news you want to read" without all the other nonsense.

This is a testiment to the management of this site. Good job.

While I had thousands of posts at that "other" site, I'm not impressed with big post counts by members just posting nonsense to increase their membership status. That is a culture that BBOS seems to excel at .... really just the news and not the nonsense.

I hope I can learn a few things here and offer some contributions in the time ahead. Thanks for allowing me to participate.

Nate, you beat me to the punch! I thought it but you actually said it. This reminds me, I need to end my rlationship w/that site as well! I signed up so long ago but never really checked the forums. There are great members there and staff but overall, it's just too "messy and ghetto" for me! Way too many "immature" members who curse, disrespect opinions, and flat out are not respectful! This site here, there's not a day I don't browse for something. In fact, am always "on line" although am nowhere near my pc. Am usually at work. The staff here are EXTREMELY professional and as a result, that mannerism trickles down to a very high percentage of the members. I really do love this site. By the way, great post to start Wireless! ::bbos::

If you do have a moment to spare before you close your account on that "other" board, if you wouldn't mind sending a PM to a couple of members over there who are friends and recommend that they stop on over and take a look here, I'd greatly appreciate it. I closed my account after a discussion with one of their senior staffers and never had a chance to tell a couple of people there about this site before I left. "Artemis68," "NorrisCell," and "K Bear" are all good members and I don't think they know about this site. You might want to recommend they stop over and check us out.

Again, I could not agree with you more about the comparisons between sites. Let's hope we can keep this site as good as it is now for a long time.
